PRAYING FOR ISRAEL – Pt 9

For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns. (Yeshayahu [Isaiah] 62:1)

Many IDF soldiers have been killed over the years during the continuing war against Hamas in Gaza. Tunnels and houses that are booby-trapped have killed some, snipers others and an anti-tank missile have taken out one of the IDF’s Armored Personnel Carrier killing all inside. Continue to pray for supernatural protection of these young men and women as they fight for this nation, its people and families.

  • Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of Adonai our Elohim. They have bowed down and fallen; But we have risen and stand upright. Save, Adonai! May the King answer us when we call. (Tehillim [Psalms] 20:7-9)
  • Adonai, how they have increased who trouble me! Many are they who rise up against me. Many are they who say of me, “There is no help for him in Elohim.” Selah. But You, O Adonai, are a shield for me, my glory and the One who lifts up my head. (Tehillim [Psalms] 3:1-3)

Adonai Tz’vaot (Lord of hosts), command Your angels to protect all of Israel’s soldiers. Supernaturally reveal all hidden traps and explosives.  Supernaturally reveal all tunnels and help the IDF to destroy them. Confound all of Hamas’ and Islamic Jihad’s demonic schemes against Your nation.

  • For You will light my lamp; Adonai my Elohim will enlighten my darkness. (Tehillim [Psalms] 18:28).
  • Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.  (Tehillim [Psalms] 139:12)
  • Let all those who hate Zion be put to shame and turned back.  (Tehillim [Psalms] 129:5).

Give clarity to the IDF, including clear communications between all branches and officers and soldiers, and clear goals to the leaders – both military and political. Protect all soldiers against ‘friendly fire’. Enable accurate interpretation of all the information obtained by Israel’s drones over Gaza.

Abba, You who are the Adonai of all comfort, please send a huge dose of that comfort on all of the families in Israel who are grieving this weekend over loved ones recently killed in this war. Use this terrible situation to draw Your people to Yourself. Use the Messianic believers in Israel as a balm to the hurting.

  • “Comfort, yes, comfort My people!” says your Elohim. (Yeshayahu [Isaiah] 40:1).
  • Blessed be the Adonai and Abba of our Adon Yeshua HaMashiach, the Father of mercies and Adonai of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by Adonai. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).
  • Adonai has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. (Yirmeyahu [Jeremiah] 31:3)
  • Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.” (Tehillim [Psalms] 50:15)
  • But sanctify the Adonai Elohim in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear … (1 Peter 3:15).
  • These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (Yochanan [John] 16:33)
